SIOUX CITY -- Sylvia Borshevsky, 91, of Sioux City died Wednesday, Dec. 10, 2008, at a Sioux City hospital.
Services will be 11 a.m. Friday, December 12, 2008 at Congregation Beth Shalom. Burial will be in Mount Carmel Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel. Condolences may be sent online to www.meyerbroschapels.com.
Sylvia was born May 9, 1917, in Sioux City to Mary (Slotsky) and Isadora Borshevsky. For many years, she was the receptionist for Dr. Richard Reinking's office and in later years was employed at The Daily Reporter.
She was a member of Mount Sinai Temple and later Congregation Beth Shalom. She enjoyed the company of her many friends and extended family throughout her life. She displayed extraordinary character as she was the primary caregiver for her mother and later for her sister as they were stricken with Alzheimer's disease. Alzheimer's disease later afflicted her as well.
She is survived by her extended family; and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and her sister, Charlotte Kline.
