Deloris "Fanny" Bogner, 80, of Sioux City, formerly of Hinton and Merrill, Iowa, died Tuesday, March 13, 2007, at Sunrise Retirement Community.
Memorial services will be 11 a.m. Saturday Anderson-Perasso Funeral Home in Sioux City, with the Rev. Alex T. Washington officiating. Private family graveside services will be Hillside Cemetery in Merrill, Iowa. Condolences may be sent online at www.meyerbroschapels.com.
Deloris was born Dec. 19, 1926, in Hinton, Iowa, the daughter of Carter and Ella (Arndt) Harrison. She attended Hinton Community School.
She married Benjamin Bogner on Oct. 1, 1947, in Dakota City. He preceded her in death in March 2, 1965, in Merrill, Iowa. She resided in Merrill, moving to Hinton in 1975. She was a store clerk at the Hinton and Merrill Grocery Store. She worked hard all of her life.
Her pride and joy were her children and grandchildren and making sure that they were well fed. She also enjoyed dancing.
Survivors include two sons and their wives, Tom and Ashley Bogner of Sioux City and Brent and Jody Bogner of Lincoln, Neb.; a daughter and her husband, Vicki and Stan Jauer of Hinton, Iowa; seven grandchildren, Tempest Bogner of Sioux City, Ben, Scott and Grace Bogner of Lincoln, Neb., Jill (Darin) Frerichs of Des Moines, Marti Jauer of Sioux City and Ben (Brenda) Jauer of Des Moines; two great-grandchildren, Lauryn and Nicholas Frerichs of Des Moines; a brother and his wife, Darrell and Opal Harrison of Sioux City; two sisters, Betty Woolworth of Yuma, Ariz., and Karen and her husband, Conrad Erickson of Sioux City; a niece, Jan Lawrence; and a nephew, Mick (Sharon) Lawrence.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, Benjamin Bogner.
