Ann M. Bishop

February 15, 1917 — November 24, 2008

Ann M. Bishop, 91, of Sioux City, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, November 24, 2008 at Mercy Medical Center. A memorial service will be held at 7:00 p.m. at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel with Reverend Scott Squires officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Services will conclude at the funeral home.

Ann was born on February 15, 1917, in Sioux City to Christopher and Christine (Jorgensen) Rasmussen. She was a life long resident of Sioux City and attended Central High School.

Ann married Edgar Simon Bishop on August 15, 1934 in Elk Point, SD. She was a homemaker until her 3 children were teenagers. At that time she worked at Wind Charger Corporation until it closed.

Ann was a member of Third Presbyterian Church. She enjoyed looking at old family photos, her 2 cats, gardening. She loved listening to music and watching T.V.

Ann is survived by 2 daughters, Betty Foster and Marian Mann and her husband Donald all of Sioux City, grandchildren, James Bishop, Mark Foster, Jeff Foster, Alan Bliven, Mike Bliven Bradley Bliven, Zackary Miller, Cheryl Sikma, Dianne Foster, Karen Mitchell and Amy Custer, 1 sister-in-law Marie Duncan.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Husband Ed, 2 sons Ed and Jim, 2 sons-in-law Kenneth Foster and Ed Bliven, 3 sisters, Alice, Marian and Ethel, and 1 brother Albert.
