SIOUX CITY -- Harriette L. Beebe, 87, of Omaha, formerly of Sioux City, passed away Sunday, Aug. 8, 2010, in Omaha.
Services will be 1 p.m. Friday at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Sioux City, with the Rev. Merlin Schrad officiating. Entombment will be in Calvary Cemetery Mausoleum. Visitation will be 2 to 7 p.m. Thursday, with the family present 5 to 7 p.m. and a vigil service at 7 p.m., at Heafey-Hoffman-Dworak-Cutler West Center Chapel in Omaha. Arrangements in Sioux City are under the direction of Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel.
Harriette was born July 23, 1923, in Chicago, Ill., the daughter of John H. and Ruby G. (Brunner) Meyers. She married Richard W. Beebe in 1943, in Chicago. He died Feb. 21, 2000, in Sioux City.
She was a long time member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church.
Survivors include a son, Warren R. Beebe and his wife, Diane of Oakland, N.J.; four daughters, Barbara A. Bunt and her husband, Harry of Centreville, Va., Gerry M. McGee and her husband, Fred of Gainesville, Va., Joan Beebe of Dupont, Wash., and Teresa B. Blackstone and her husband, Joe of Omaha; nine grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; a brother, Eugene Meyers and his wife, Marlene of Hope, Idaho; and two sisters, Geraldine Orris of Denver, Colo., and Marjorie Ackerman of Boston, Mass.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard; a daughter, Marilyn McCullough; and a sister, Ernestine.
Memorials may be made in her name to the Queen of Peace.
