Frank Becker

NORTH SIOUX CITY -- Frank Becker, 84, of North Sioux City passed away Saturday, Sept. 11, 2010, at Morningside Care Center in Alcester, S.D., following a long illness.

Per Frank's request, his body has been cremated. A celebration of Frank's life will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, September 15, 2010 at his daughter, Terri's home at 112 Verna St., North Sioux City, S.D. Arrangements are under the direction of Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel.

Frank was born Feb. 15, 1926, in Wray, Colo., to Fred and Gladys (Ray) Becker. He grew up in Sioux City and attended Sioux City schools. He served in the U.S. Navy.

He married Berniece Eastman in North Sioux City. She died in 2000. Frank worked for Sioux Transportation for 26 years.

Survivors include his daughter, Terri Carlson and her special friend, Scott Elgert of North Sioux City; two grandchildren, Steven Carlson and Brittney Girard; and four great-grandchildren, Cadence and Harmony Carlson, Cody and Zoey Girard.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Berniece.
