Dorothy Jean Archer, 84 of Sioux City Iowa died Thursday, November 23, 2006 at St. Lukes hospital after a brief illness. Funeral Service will be held at 11:00a.m. Tuesday, November 28, 2006 at Sunnybrook Community Church with Rev. Jeff Moes officiating. Burial will follow at the Onawa Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday, November 27, 2006 with the family present from 6 to 8 p.m.at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel. Online Condolences can be sent to www.meyerbroschapels.com. Dorothy was born November 10, 1922 at Blencoe, Iowa the daughter of Lloyd A. and Olga A. (Howschultz) Noble. She graduated form Blencoe High School in 1941 and later from Stewarts School of Cosmetology of Sioux City in 1964. Dorothy married Clarence Daniel Archer on January 1, 1942 in South Sioux City, Nebraska. Clarence passed away August 17, 1996 in Sioux City, Iowa. They have been residents of Sioux City since 1945. She was employed by Armour & Co. from 1952 to 1963. Dorothy was loved by her friends and family and will be greatly missed. Survivors include a son, Tom Archer and his wife Cheryl, of Sioux City, IA (2) grandsons, Kevin Archer and his wife Shelly and Steve Archer, (3) great grandchildren Bailey, Madison and Zachery Archer. Her husband and parents and a brother, Merle Noble, preceded her in death. Pallbearers will be Steve Archer, Kevin Archer, Phil Kirwan, Jim Loucks, Bob Jaynes and Jack Fulton.
