Joellyn Andresen, 64, of Sioux City passed away Friday, May 30, 2008, at her residence following a lengthy illness.
Graveside services will be later this summer in Schaller Cemetery, Schaller, Iowa. Arrangements are under the direction of Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel.
Joellyn was born Aug. 14, 1943, in Sioux City, the daughter of Henry and Gerry (Veitch) Andresen. She was raised in Schaller, Iowa. After graduating from Schaller High School in 1961, she moved to Sioux City. She was employed with Northwestern Bell and at two Sioux City banks. She retired from Wells Fargo due to poor health in 2005.
She is survived by her sisters, Sheryll Andresen and Bev Sharbondy, both of Sioux City; four nieces and their husbands, Shelly Sharbondy and Tony Kanwar of Edina, Minn., Courtney and Scott Wegscheid of Greeley, Colo., Hillary Martin of Greeley, Colo., and Tamara and Kevin Moran of Sioux City; a nephew, Greg Sharbondy of Hollywood, Fla.; and eight grandnieces and grandnephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and a sister, Gwen Andresen.
Memorials may be given to Hospice of Siouxland.
