Maxine E. Allison, 84, of Sioux City died Wednesday, Aug. 22, 2007, at a Sioux City hospital following a brief illness.
Private family services will be held at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel, with Randy Meyer officiating. Private graveside services will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. There will be no visitation. Condolences may be sent online to www.meyerbroschapels.com.
Mrs. Allison was born Sept. 4, 1922, in Le Mars, Iowa, the daughter of Clarence and Kathryn (Schultz) Wagner. She spent her early years in Le Mars, then moved to Sioux City and graduated from East High School. She married William H. "Al" Allison on Nov. 11, 1944, in Sioux City.
She was a member of Church of Christ.
Survivors include her husband, William "Al" Allison of Sioux City; three sons, Terry Allison and his wife, Darlene of Sioux City, Lee Allison of Waterbury, Neb., and Lyn Allison of Ogden, Utah; a sister, LaVonne McGinty of Santa Rosa, Calif.; seven grandchildren, Amy Karras, Stefanie Allison, Tami Schommer, Staci Clark, Katie Ferdig, Jennifer Holbrook and Erin Holt; and 10 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Harlan Wagner; and a daughter-in-law, Maxine Allison.
