Renea J. Adams

DAKOTA CITY -- Renea J. Adams, 53, of Dakota City passed away after a courageous battle with cancer Sunday, Oct. 18, 2009, at a Sioux City hospital.

Memorial services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, October 21, 2009 at Buchanan Avenue Baptist Church, with the Rev. Dan Thornton officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Nelson-Berger Northside Chapel.

Renea was born Jan. 29, 1956, in Ida Grove, Iowa, the daughter of Ray and Virginia Amsden. She married William "Monte" Adams on April 1, 1988, in Sioux City.

She loved to crochet and go to rummage sales. She took great pride in her home.

Survivors include her husband, Monte of Dakota City; two sons, Jeremy Adams and Monte "Dudley" Adams; a daughter, Heather Kerkart; eight grandchildren; two brothers, Steve and Kyle Amsden; and two sisters, Roxanne and Pam.

She was preceded in death by her parents.
