SOUTH SIOUX CITY -- Donald W. Adams, 62, of South Sioux City passed away on Saturday, Jan. 30, 2010, at a Sioux City hospital.
Services will be 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, February 3, 2010 at Nelson-Berger Northside Chapel, with the Rev. Roger Madden officiating. Cremation will follow with inurnment to be at a later date.
Donald was born on Feb. 26, 1947, in St. Louis, Mo. He received his education in Dupo, Ill., before his enlistment into the U.S. Air Force. Donald was a veteran of the Vietnam Conflict. He was a hard worker, holding several jobs including hardware sales, to support his family. Donald moved between St. Louis and Sioux City between the years of 1984 and 2008, remaining in South Sioux City the last couple years.
He was an avid fisherman, enjoyed country music, loved his cowboy boots and cowboy hats and loved St. Louis Cardinals baseball.
Donald is survived by his son, Lonnie Adams; daughters, Brenda McNear and Becky Archer, all of South Sioux City; a brother, Joe Adams; sisters, Peggy Sansocie, Rose Banks, Jane Gan and Donna Zumbehl, all of St. Louis; and four grandchildren, Rachael, Brayden, Laila, and Sylar.
