It is with deep sorrow and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Abel Dido, beloved son, brother, and friend, who passed away on November 12, 2024 at the age of 20. Abel was born on April 6, 2004, to Zeweditu Zeleke and Dirago Dido.
Abel was a joyful and bright young man, cherished by everyone who knew him. He was the third kid siblings, and is lovingly remembered by his sister Kidist Dido, Addisalem Dido, and brothers Robel Dido, Fiker Lagide. Abel’s family and friends will forever treasure his laughter, his caring heart, and his kindness.
Abel graduated from West High School in 2022 and continued his education at Iowa University, where he was studying in the medical field with the dream of becoming a doctor. His passion for helping others and his determination to make a difference in the world were presented from a young age.
Abel had a love for soccer, go to church to worship god, and enjoyed working out at the gym, where he spent time developing his physical strength. He was also known for his fashionable style and love of dressing up like a model. In his quiet moments, Abel loved reading, always seeking knowledge and inspiration from books.
Abel's bright spirit will live on in the hearts of his family, friends, and everyone whose life he touched. His memory will be cherished forever.
A private memorial service will be held November 16 2024 with viewing and burial to follow.

Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Saturday, November 16, 2024 at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel. Burial will follow at Logan Park Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m.
