Alan Kaye, 59, of Sioux City passed away Wednesday, March 18, 2020 at a local hospital following a brief illness. Per his wishes, his body will be cremated.
Alan was born in New York and lived most of his life in Brooklyn East New York. He was a veteran of the Marine Corps. He worked as a truck driver for the New York Daily News.
He was a humanitarian and loved helping anyone he could. He was recently married and loved his new Sioux City family.
Those left to honor his memory are his best friend and wife Amy Reinert-Kaye, her son Jason (Maggie) Reinert, their daughter and son, Lola and Jake; three sisters-in-law, Susie (Steve) Rodriguez, Jami (Cardy) Krause, and Toni Duncan; nieces and nephews, Eric (Maggie) Krause, their daughter Skylynn of Sioux City IA, Amanda Whittington, her daughter and son Aubrey and Jackson of Sioux Falls SD, Austin Rodriguez, Angela Duncan, Allisa and Allexa Johnson, great nephew Ethan Garnet, all of Sioux City IA; brother Lance (Cookie) Kaye, their daughter Amanda Kaye and her daughter, Symphony, all of Las Vegas.
He was preceded in death by his mother and father, Carol and Herbie Kaye.
