Alfonso Hernandez, 20, of Sioux City passed away on Tuesday, March 30, 2021 at an Omaha Medical Center.
A Memorial Mass will be at 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, April 6, 2021 at Cathedral of the Epiphany Catholic Church with the Very Rev. David Esquiliano, JCL Rector and Father Jeremy Wind concelebrating. Visitation will be Monday, April 5, 2021 from 4:00-8:00pm with a Vigil Service at 7:00 P.M. officiated by Father Jeremy Wind at the Meyer Brothers Morningside Chapel. Alfonso was born May 8, 2000 in Sioux City, the son of Alfonso Hernandez and Maria del Rosario Eliserio. He graduated from Heelan High School in 2018. Alfonso enjoyed playing soccer with his friends, fishing with his father and grandfather, working on cars with his father, and enjoyed home projects with his girlfriend Trinity. Alfonso was a hard worker and would help anyone in need. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Survivors include his parents: Alfonso Hernandez and Maria del Rosario Eliserio of Sioux City; girlfriend: Trinity Anderson of Sioux City; siblings: Jenipher Hernandez, Ailed Hernandez, and Jared Hernandez of all Sioux City; paternal grandfather: Alfonso Hernandez of Sioux City; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother: Christina Rodriguez; and his maternal grandparents Maria Diaz Ibarra & Bonifacio Eliserio Aguilar.
