Allen J. Lile

Allen J. Lile, 63, of South Sioux City, passed away Thursday, July 22, 2021. A memorial service will be at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, July 31, 2021 at Mohr & Becker-Hunt Funeral Home, 1431 W 29th St, South Sioux City, NE 68776. Online condolences may be directed to www.meyerbroschapels.com. Allen was born the son of Robert and Carole (Crooks) Lile on February 17, 1958 in Sioux City, Iowa. He graduated valedictorian from Walthill High School in 1976 and attended the University of Nebraska. Allen married Rochelle Recher on May 26, 1979. After their marriage Allen enlisted in the United States Army. They traveled the world during his ten-year military career. Following his honorable discharge, they made their home in South Sioux City. Allen worked for Gateway Computers for many years and worked at Mercy One for the past ten years. He enjoyed building and collecting model cars. He was a very talented artist, particularly sketching, and he was proud that one of his pieces was displayed at the University of Nebraska for many years. Allen served as a Deacon for Eastside Baptist Church in South Sioux City, Nebraska. Allen is survived by his wife, Rochelle Lile of South Sioux City; children, Bryan (Courtney) Lile of Gig Harbor, Washington, Brenda (Graham) Reeder of Osseo, Minnesota, and Travis (Jenny) Lile of Sioux City; sisters, Roberta (Bobby) Barclay, Audrey (Harold) Chase, and Carla (Robert) Warner; and grandchildren, Payton Lile, Kaden Lile-Mayberry, and Will Reeder. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Lisa.
