Amy Beth Phetteplace, a beloved wife and devoted mother, passed away peacefully on November 26, 2024, at her home in Sioux City, Iowa, surrounded by her loving family after a courageous four-year battle with ALS.
A memorial service celebrating Amy’s life will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, December 5, 2024, at Crescent Park United Methodist Church in Sioux City, Iowa.
Born September 17, 1983, in Sioux City, the daughter of Frank Fick and Barbara Moser, Amy was a beacon of love and warmth in the lives of all who knew her.
Amy attended West High School and later graduated from high school in North Carolina. Her adventurous spirit led her to pursue an education in cosmetology, where she discovered her passion for creativity and beauty. She cherished her time in the Lunch Program at the Sioux City Schools, delighting in the interactions with the children and the joy it brought to her.
Amy was known for the love she poured into her family life. She was an amazing wife to her husband, Earl, and a nurturing mother to their children, Alice and Earl. Together, they created a home filled with laughter, love, and cherished memories. Amy’s greatest joy came from spending time with her family, and she consistently went above and beyond to ensure they felt loved and supported.
She is survived by her beloved husband, Earl, her daughter, Alice, and her son, Earl, all of Sioux City. Amy leaves behind a legacy of love that will forever resonate in the hearts of her family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank Fick and Barbara Moser.
Though her physical presence may no longer be with us, the beautiful impact she has made on the lives of those around her will continue to shine brightly. Amy will be deeply missed, but her spirit will forever be cherished in the hearts of her beloved family.
