Andrew P. "Andy" Crombie, Jr., 85, of South Sioux City, NE, formerly of Dixon, NE passed away on Tuesday, March 14, 2017 at a Sioux City hospital.Funeral services will be at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, March 18, 2017 at Mohr Funeral Home in South Sioux City, NE. Burial will be in the Laurel Cemetery in Laurel, NE. Visitation with the family present will begin at 9:30 A.M. on Saturday at the funeral home.Andy was born on October 6, 1931 in St. Paul, NE, the son of Andrew and Esther (Bennett) Crombie. He married Shirley Dendinger on November 30, 1950 in Wayne, NE. They farmed in the Dixon, NE area. After retirement, they moved to Wayne, NE. Shirley passed away on May 12, 2009. Andy then moved to South Sioux City, NE.Survivors include his daughter-in-law, Mary (John) Green; grandchildren, Julie Divis, Joan (Mike) Penne and Mark (Karen) Crombie; great-grandchildren, Eric, Alex, Devin, Emily, Leah and Ryan; a sister, Marilyn Chase and brother, Bill Crombie.He was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Crombie; a son, Randy Crombie; 3 infant daughters, Cheryl, Ellen and Susan; and his parents, Andrew and Esther Crombie.
