Anthony "Tony" J. Walsh

Anthony J. "Tony" Walsh, 58, of South Sioux City, NE passed away on Friday, November 28, 2014 at his residence.Memorial services will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Saturday, December 6, 2014 at the Mohr Funeral Home in South Sioux City, NE with Father Andrew Sohm officiating. Burial will be in Calvary at South Creek Cemetery in rural Ponca, NE. Visitation will begin one hour prior to the service at the funeral Home.Tony was born in Sioux City, IA on March 28, 1956, the son of Joseph and Carmelita (Rembe) Walsh. He graduated from Ponca High School. He worked for Schram Ag Lime, then was a long haul truck driver for 33 years. He lived in Northeast Nebraska all his life. Tony married Mary Knee in 1998.He served as an EMT for the Ponca Fire and Rescue Dept. for many years. He was a loving husband and father.Survivors include his wife, Mary Walsh of South Sioux City, NE; daughters, Anna Limoges of Sioux City, IA and Mandy (Tim) Christensen of Sergeant Bluff, IA; son, Anthony (Sarah) Walsh, Jr. of Wakefield, NE; sisters, Teresa (Ken) Pavlushik of Ponca, Patsy (Kevin) Moody of Dallas, TX, And Anna (Dale) Hackney of Waterbury, NE; brothers, Dennis (Theresa) Walsh of South Sioux City and Robert (Charleen) Walsh of Toronto, KS; special aunt, Glenna Walsh; and many nieces and nephews.Tony was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Carmelita Walsh; and his sister, Mary Walsh.
