Ardith “Artie” E. Nash, 93, of Sergeant Bluff, IA formerly of Sioux City, IA passed away Monday, May 17, 2022 at Pioneer Valley Living and Rehab in Sergeant Bluff. Funeral Services will be at 11:30 a.m. Monday, May 23, 2022 at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel in Sioux City. Visitation will be 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Sunday, May 22, 2022 also at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel. Internment will take place at Memorial Park Cemetery. Ardith was born August 23, 1928 to Carlos and Nellie (Florence) Wilson in Onawa, IA. Artie lived most of her life in Sioux City where she married the love of her life Raymond A. Nash on December 7, 1946 in Sioux City.

She graduated high school from North High Night School in Cincinnati, OH. She was a Scout Leader and Troop Organizer at Irving School, member of the Sioux City Gospel Mission Women’s Auxiliary, active in PTA at Irving School, Midcity PAC, Okoboji Women’s Group for many years.

Artie leased and operated the Javahaus in downtown Sioux City from 1964 to 1972 in the Genellis Building on 5th St. She retired from Hardee’s on Gordon Drive in June 1993 after 16 years of management/service to the Stanek Family.

Born to this marriage were three sons and two daughters: Deborah (Terry) Clark from Ozark, MO, Raymond (Lyla) Nash from Punta Gorda, FL, Johnny (Jeannie) Nash from Sioux City, Donald “Red” (Penny) Nash from Sioux City and Deanna (Jeff) Eshelman from Essex, IA.

Artie is survived by her grandchildren Laura (Cliff) Barrett from Pawling, NY, Cherri Rae (David) Damian Hernandez from Sioux City, Beth Ann (Joshua) Hodgen from Sioux City, John K. Nash (Wendy LaCroix) from Sioux City, IA, Kelly (Ron) Williams from Wellsburg, WV, Megan (Benjamin) Weieneth from Cedar Rapids, IA.

Artie is also survived by her 14 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.

Artie is survived by one brother, Gordon Wilson from Arizona. She was proceeded in death by her parents, four brothers, six sisters and her husband Raymond in 2002.
