Aubree was born the daughter of Ronald and Jennifer (Wingert) Kueny on August 4, 2000 in Sioux City, Iowa. She graduated from Bishop Heelan High School in 2019 and completed the respiratory therapy program through St. Luke’s College. She continued her education through Grand Canyon University where she graduated with a bachelor’s degree in health sciences in 2024. She had been a respiratory therapist at the Mayo Clinic for almost 4 years where she touched so many lives in her short time.

Aubree had a deep love for her family. She shared a special bond with her cousins, who were more like siblings to her. In fact, she spent much of her childhood running wild at her favorite place in the world-the family farm. She loved her Frenchie, Mable Marie, reading Abby Jimenez books, and cruising in her Jeep with the top off. Aubree’s bible was well-loved, earmarked, written in and colored on. A sticky note marked the following as one of her favorite verses: “For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord.” One of the plans the Lord had for Aubree was for her to donate her organs so others may live. Aubree suffered from Chiari 1 Malformation and had brain surgery to help manage the condition in 2017. Her family knew Aubree would want others to learn as much as they could about this condition in order to help others, so her brain was donated to the University of Iowa.

In lieu of flowers, please direct memorial contributions to the family to be applied to a memorial that will be established in Aubree’s name at St. Luke’s College. The family wishes to celebrate Aubree and hopes you will join us by adding purple to your wardrobe for her celebration of life.

Aubree is survived by her parents, Ron and Jennie Kueny; sister and best friend, Jolee Kueny; boyfriend, Cole Foss; paternal grandmother, Karen Kueny; maternal grandparents, Larry and Linda Wingert. She also leaves behind aunts and uncles who loved her dearly. Among them are Tony & Amy Wingert, Amy & Matt Seuntjens, Cheri Wingert, Rich Kueny, and Kristine & Richie LeClair. Her large group of cousins will always feel like they are missing a piece of their hearts. These include Lynsey (James) Brouillette, Hayley Seuntjens, Colby (Karlee) Seuntjens, Toby (Anna) Horsley, Kylie Horsley and Kendra Horsley, Zach Wingert, Caitlin (Taylor) Clark, Josh Wingert, Colt, Wesley, & Jocelyn LeClair. Everyone in her family knew her favorite relatives were her cousins’ babies. Bo, Lucy, Isaiah, DeAndre, Hayes, Brooks & Baby H have the most beautiful guardian angel.

Her family is comforted knowing that her grandpa Jim Kueny, aunt Jill Kueny, and her dog Lola were waiting to welcome her into heaven.
