Barbara Lynn Byrne

Barbara Lynn Byrne, 49, of Sioux City, passed away Tuesday, August 10, 2021 at a local hospital.

A Memorial Service will be held 2:00 P.M. Saturday, August 14, 2021 at Nelson-Berger Northside Chapel with a visitation one hour prior to service time. Inurnment will be held at Calvary Cemetery at a later date. Online condolences can be expressed at www.meyerbroschapels.com.

Barbara was born August 25, 1971 in Sioux City, the daughter of Thomas and Patricia (Minnig) Byrne. She was raised in Sioux City and graduated from West High School in 1990 where she participated in track and cross country. Following graduation, she attended and graduated from WITCC with a degree in nursing. She worked at several nursing homes in the Siouxland area.

Barbara was baptized and confirmed at St. Boniface Catholic Church. She was a Chicago Bears fan and an animal lover; she had many dogs, cats, and birds as pets. Barbara was an independent spirit and enjoyed reading and traveling with her mom.

Those left to honor her memory are her siblings James Byrne and William (Mindy) Byrne, both of Sioux City, and Karen (Trent) Glamann of Kearney, MO; nieces and nephews Abby Byrne, Jacob Byrne, Steven Byrne, Megan (Kameron) Garber, and Garrett Glamann.

She was preceded in death by her parents.
