Their early years included a stint in San Diego during Donald’s military service, but they eventually returned to Sioux City, where they built a cherished home for their family.

Barbara was a member at Trinity Lutheran Church in Sioux City. She devoted her time as a Sunday School Teacher and with various other church groups. Barbara loved playing cards on Friday nights with friends, dancing, and traveling. She loved going to Arizona, a place where she spent a lot of time in her early years.
