Barbara Faye Letcher

Barbara Letcher, 69, of Jefferson, SD, passed away surrounded by her family, on December 29, 2020 at her residence.  A funeral service will be held at Saturday, January 2, 2021 at 1:00 P.M.  at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel.  Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.  Online condolences may be made to www.meyerbroschapels.com.

Barbara was born on October 29, 1951 in Sioux City, IA to Charles and Rosanna (Girard) Kunkel.  On May 10, 1974 she was united in marriage to Gary Letcher in Elk Point, SD.  Together they lived in Sioux City, South Sioux City, NE, before moving to Jefferson, SD.  Barbara worked at Zenith and then at Interbake Foods for over 30 years.  She enjoyed crossword puzzles, playing dice and cards.

Those left to honor her memory include her husband, Gary Letcher, Jefferson, SD; son, Matthew Letcher, Jefferson, SD; daughter, Megan Letcher, Jefferson, SD; siblings: Pam (Denny) Ehlers, Moville, IA, Janice (Everett) Brown, Sgt. Bluff, IA, Duane (Sharon) Kunkel, Jerry (Jo) Kunkel, Colleen Perrera, Tim Kunkel, Dorreen Kunkel, all of Sioux City; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents; sister, Mary Kunkel; and brother, James Kunkel.
