Bernice D. Waderich

Bernice D. Waderich, 95, of Sioux City, passed away Thursday, March 19, 2020 at Sunrise Retirement.  A private funeral service will be held at Meyer Brothers Morningside Chapel.  Burial will be at Memorial Park Cemetery.  Online condolences may be made to www.meyerbroschapels.com.

Bernice was born on August 29, 1924 in Mapleton, IA to Frank and Alvena (Block) Passick.  She was united in marriage to August Waderich in Mapleton, IA on May 16, 1943.  He preceded her in death in 2016.  Bernice was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church.  She enjoyed watching the Minnesota Twins; playing cards, cooking, traveling, farm life, and spending time with her family and friends.

Those left to honor her memory include her 6 grandchildren:  14 great grandchildren; 10 great great grandchildren, and 2 on the way; and an adopted granddaughter Edith and her family and a son in law Donnie.

Bernice is preceded in death by her parents; husband; daughters: Lorraine, and Joanne; son, Don; and a brother.

The family would like to thank the nurses and staff at Sunrise Retirement Community for the wonderful care they gave to Bernice.
