Beth M. Koster

Beth M. Koster, 78, of South Sioux City passed away Wednesday, March 16, 2022.  Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M. Monday, March 21, 2022 at Mohr & Becker-Hunt Funeral Home in South Sioux City.  Visitation will be 3:00 to 5:00 P.M. Sunday, March 20, 2022 at the funeral home.  Burial will be at Rose Hill Cemetery in Emerson, Nebraska.

Beth was born the daughter of Erwin and Frances (Giese) Surber on January 8, 1944 in Emerson, Nebraska.  She graduated from South Sioux City High School in 1962.  Beth married Leroy Koster on July 14, 1967 at First Lutheran Church in South Sioux City.  They made their home in South Sioux and enjoyed 54 years together.

Beth was a loan officer for Iowa-Nebraska State Bank for 23 years until her retirement in 2014.  She also worked at Equitable Federal, Dakota County State Bank, and Siouxland National Bank over the years. 

She enjoyed going to plays with her sisters, loved her Boston Terriers, and was active in the local garden club.

Beth is survived by her husband, Leroy Koster of South Sioux City; sons, Darren (Dori) Koster, Derek (Rhonda) Koster, and Kyle Koster all of South Sioux City; sisters, Jeannine (George) Zeitner of Sioux City and Jackie (Ottie) Gierman of South Sioux City; grandchildren, Kory, Kody (Courtney), Lexi, Kasey, Kelsi, Sean, Josi, and Kiefer; and great-grandchildren, Peyton, Dane, Devin, and Madison.  

She was preceded in death by her parents.
