Betty J. Ensminger

Betty J. Ensminger, 87, of South Sioux City, NE passed away at Unity Point Health - St. Luke's Hospital on Sunday, January 24, 2016.There will be no services or public visitation. Arrangements are under the direction of Mohr Funeral Home in South Sioux City, NE.Betty was born on June 11, 1928 in rural Emerson, NE, the daughter of George and Marie (Zwygart) Fuchser. She graduated from Emerson High School in 1945. She worked as a homemaker, raising four children. When the family moved to South Sioux City, she worked as a babysitter and operated a cleaning business.Betty enjoyed spending time with her family and grandchildren.Survivors include three children, Mark (Monica) Ensminger of South Sioux City, NE, Marica (Gary) Griffith of Arkansas and Maureen (Scott) Bottorff of Dakota City, NE; son-in-law, Gary Jensen of Wilcox, NE; eight grandchildren, Jason, Jalene and Jessica Jo Ensminger, Michele Weimer, Michael Griffith, Vade Jensen, Spencer and Chet Bottorff; seven great-grandchildren, Kealyn, Colton, Katrina, Trinity, Max, Alice and Conner; one sister, Irene Van Lent of Hubbard, NE; and two brothers, LeRoy Fuchser and Ervin Fuchser of Emerson, NE.Betty was preceded in death by her parents, George and Marie Fuchser; a daughter, Marlene (Ensminger) Jensen; brother-in-law, Raymond Van Lent; and sisters-in-law, Donna, Betty and Janice Fuchser.
