Betty L. Gill

Betty L. Gill, 76 of Sioux City passed away Thursday, December 28, 2023. Funeral services will be 10:30 A.M. Friday, January 5, 2024 at Meyer Brothers Morningside Chapel. Burial will be at Memorial Park Cemetery.

Betty was born the daughter of Ed and Louise (Onnen) Raynor on March 14, 1947 in Elk Point, South Dakota. She graduated from Elk Point High School. Betty married Robert Molisee. To this union two children were born, Brad and Buffy. She later married Frank Gill on May 20, 1995 in Westfield, Iowa. They made their home in Sioux City.

Betty enjoyed staying busy and she kept several jobs over the years. She worked at Casey’s General Store for many years, cleaned apartment homes, and worked at Wal-Mart among other places.

She enjoyed traveling and going to rummage sales and antique stores. She was always excited to go to her grandchildren’s activities and such a proud grandma. She loved being around her family and had a soft spot for babies and children.

Betty is survived by her husband, Frank Gill of Sioux City; children, Brad (Teresa) Molisee and Buffy (Tom) Hultquist; step-daughter, Malinda (Ronnie) Prescott all of Sioux City; siblings, Bob (Dianne) Raynor, Edna Timm, and Marla Olson; grandchildren, William, Brandon, Alicia, Ashley, Elise, Kayla, Nicholas, Nathan, Serenity, and Lucy; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; siblings, Shirley and Joy; and brother-in-law, Lyle.
