Betty A. Wahlers, 70, of Walthill, NE passed away on Thursday, September 1, 2016 at Pender Community Hospital in Pender, NE.A time of remembrance and sharing will be at 6:00 P.M. on Tuesday, September 6, 2016 at the Mohr Funeral Home in South Sioux City, NE. Burial will be at a later date in the Bancroft, NE cemetery. Visitation with the family present will begin at 4:30 at the funeral home on Tuesday.Betty was born in rural Vermillion, SD on July 18, 1946, the daughter of Abraham and Wilma (Flint) Armstrong. She attended school in Jackson, NE. She married LeRoy Wahlers on July 24, 1964 in Dakota City, NE. The couple lived in Dakota City, Hubbard and Walthill, NE. Betty worked a various jobs before retiring at the age of 67.She enjoyed cooking and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.Survivors include her husband, LeRoy Wahlers; children, David (Tammy) Wahlers, LeAnn (Donald) Cadwell and Chris (Tammy) Wahlers; 10 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; siblings, Irma (Jim) Delaney, Tommy Armstrong, Ron (Martha) Bennett, Patty (Dan) Frazee, Leslie Bennett, Billy (Judith) Bennett and Danny (Emma) Bennett; and many nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by her parents, Abraham Armstrong and Wilma Bennett; a son, Johnathan Wahlers; and a daughter, Tina Harkness.
