Blanche L. Kingsley

   Blanche L. Kingsley, 89, formerly of Sioux City, IA passed away following a short illness on Friday, April 9, 2021 at St. Luke’s Hospital in Cedar Rapids, IA.

   Memorial services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, April 24, 2021 at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel in Sioux City.  Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery.  Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service on Saturday.  Due to Covid, there will not be a luncheon following the burial.

   Blanche, the daughter of Clyde J. and Rena A. (Lieske) Birkes, was born October 31, 1931, in La Harpe, KS.

   On March 18, 1951, Blanche was united in marriage to Robert M. Kingsley in Sioux City.  Robert passed away on May 1, 2010.

   Blanche is survived by her children: Robyn (Emmett) Hodgins and Kirk (Debra) Kingsley; grandchildren: Erin (Derek) Wood, Blake (Candice) Hodgins, Ruben Taladay, Dakota Kingsley, and Cheyenne Kingsley; and six great-grandchildren.

   She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Robert; son, David; siblings: Marianne, Clyde Jr., and Jim.
