Bobby Amnatka, 29, passed away Thursday, September 23, 2021, peacefully at home in Sioux City, Iowa surrounded by his family.
He was born on March 16, 1992, in Worthington, Minnesota, to Manisone and Bounmy Amnatka. From the moment Bobby was introduced to basketball he couldn’t help to indulge in the sport and play it with all his heart. Of course, his second favorite sport was football. Football was a sport that brought all family and friends together. One of his passion and talent that we discovered is his hip-hop style dancing. Bobby was an all-around genre music kind of guy. He had different taste and style of music from rap, R&B, Lao, Thai, etc. He had the most contagious smile and always had everyone around him laugh. But what Bobby treasured most was the well-being and quality time spent with his loved ones.
Those left to honor his memory include his son, Kyren Amnatka; mother, Manisone; father, Bounmy; brothers, John Champalath, Ricky (Bebe Brewer) Amnatka; sister Rita (Saki Weelakorn) Amnatka; grandmother, Xoy Champalath; many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews. He is preceded in death by his aunt Somoune Thongvilay, and grandfather Somvang Champalath.
Visitation will be held Saturday, October 2, 2021 from 12 to 2 p.m. at Meyer Brothers Morningside Chapel, 6200 Morningside Ave. Sioux City, Iowa. A funeral service will follow at 2 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be at a later date.
