Bonnie R. Harison, 86, of Ponca, NE passed away at a Sioux City hospital on Sunday, January 25, 2015 after a long and courageous battle with Alzheimer's.Funeral services will be at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, January 29, 2015 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Ponca, NE with Father Andrew Sohm officiating. Burial will be in the Ponca Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 5:00 P.M., with the family present at 6:00 P.M. and a Scriptural Wake Service at 7:00 P.M. on Wednesday, January 28, 2015 at the church. Arrangements are under the direction of Mohr Funeral Home in Ponca.Bonnie was born in Ponca, NE on October 30, 1928, the daughter of Rudy and Margaret (Weber) Harder. She attended grade school at rural School District #13 and graduated from Ponca High School in 1946. Bonnie married Dick Harison at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Jackson, NE in 1946. The couple lived in Ponca most of their married life. Bonnie was a homemaker and worked for many years at the Gambles Store in Ponca. She lived at the Elms Health Care Center in Ponca for the last five years, under their loving care.She was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church and St. Joseph's Altar Society. She was also a Girl Scout leader. Bonnie enjoyed her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and was a wonderful cook and homemaker. She also enjoyed gardening and yard work.Survivors include her husband, Dick Harison of Ponca; daughters, Ginny Keller, Ruth (Aub) Voss and Janet Wilson; 10 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren, Chris (Jayna) Keller and children, Meg, Evan and Elsie, Nikki (Pat) Yost and children, Payton, Avynn, Samantha and Keller, Kelley (Karl) Oehlke and children Klaire, Kade and Kwyn, Jeff (Angie) Keller and children, Brody and Brooklyn and Jamie (Joey) Thoene, Tami (Jeff) Pick and children, Alycia, Allison, Hunter, Faith and Tia, Brandon (Brooke) Voss and children, Graci, Ava and Sofia, Amber (Wayne) McNutt and children, Brayden, Gage and Ashlyn, and Aaron Voss, Christine (Morgan) Micheletti; a sister, Joanne Rahn; and brother, David (Karen) Harder; and sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Liz and Bob Vermilyea.Bonnie was preceded in death by her parents, Rudy and Margaret Harder; sons-in-law, Doug Keller and Bill Wilson; an infant sister, Mary; and a brother-in-law, Paul Rahn.In lieu of flowers, please direct memorials to St. Joseph's Altar Society.
