Bonnie R. Jones, 77, of rural Waterbury, NE passed away on Tuesday, October 11, 2011 at a Sioux City hospital.Funeral services will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Saturday, October 15, 2011 at the Mohr Funeral Home in Ponca, NE with Father David Liewer officiating. Burial will be at St. Michael's Cemetery in South Sioux City, NE at a later date. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Friday, October 14, 2011 from 5:00 to 8:00 P.M., with the family present from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. Condolences may be posted online at www.mohrfuneralhome.com.Bonnie was born in South Sioux City, NE on March 16, 1934, the daughter of Reuben and Genevieve (Moisant) Wolf. She grew up in South Sioux City and graduated from South Sioux City High School in 1952. She worked as a telephone operator for Northwestern Bell. Bonnie married Kenneth Jones on November 20, 1954 in South Sioux City, NE. The couple moved to Phoenix, Arizona, where they lived for 2 years before moving back to South Sioux City. Bonnie worked as a waitress at the Marina Inn for many years. In 1975 the couple moved to a farm in rural Waterbury, NE. They then lived in Wichita Kansas from 1981 to 1985, moved back to South Sioux City, then settled on a farm in rural Waterbury.Bonnie was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Ponca, NE. She enjoyed flowers, building puzzles, and she loved cats. She was a dedicated wife, mother and sister.Survivors include her husband, Kenneth Jones of Waterbury, NE; children, Wayne Jones of South Sioux City, NE, Theresa (Kevin) Stewart of St. Cloud, MN and Sue Ann (Dave) Lewis of Woodbine, IA; 5 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; 1 brother, William Wolf of South Sioux City, NE; sister-in-law, Mary Wolf of South Sioux City, NE; and many nieces and nephews.Bonnie was preceded in death by her parents, Reuben and Genevieve Wolf; an infant daughter, Jackie; 1 sister and brother-in-law, Mae (Francis) Eberly; and 1 brother, Robert Wolf.
