Brady Joseph Wrenn Locke, 22, a vibrant and determined individual, was born on October 10, 2002, in Sioux City, Iowa. He departed this world on Friday, February 7, 2025, in Sioux City, leaving behind a legacy of joy, laughter, and unwavering love for his family and friends.
Brady lived life on his own terms, often choosing his own path with an adventurous spirit that began at an early age. Known for his unmistakable smile that could light up any room, he was always in motion. Brady’s enthusiasm for life and his energetic personality allowed him to forge friendships effortlessly as he progressed through Sunnyside Elementary, East Middle School, and East High School, where he is remembered for the laughter and camaraderie he brought to his peers. Brady’s school shenanigans still cracked him up long after his school days were finished.
After high school, Brady embarked on a journey into the workforce. At the age of 18, he ventured out to carve his own path and soon found a job at Peterson Contractors, Inc. There, he flourished as an equipment operator, creating bonds and lasting friendships that enriched his life. Brady returned to Sioux City in 2024, where he landed his dream job at L.G. Everist, Inc. Where he showed his devotion to the job, his love of work, and his skill at running large equipment. At L.G. Everist, Brady made terrific friends who could keep up with his constant quick wit, one-liners, and comebacks. Brady's professional life made him extraordinarily happy.
Beyond his professional pursuits, Brady was passionate about the great outdoors. He was an avid hunter who cherished this time with his Dad. He dreamed of his next buck or long-bearded Tom. During turkey season, he lit up with joy and excitement just hearing gobbles outside his blind. His tree stand was his fortress of solitude. And when he wasn't holding a gun or bow, he could be found casting a line from shore or sitting in an ice hut jigging for the next big catch. And his hunting stories included all the embellishments that a true hunter adds.
In addition to his outdoor interests, Brady was known for his love of spicy food, country music, playful personality, and sense of humor. He had a knack for wise-cracks, pranks, and jokes. Everyone who knew him appreciated his authenticity, and he embraced the individuality of those around him. Brady was an amazing brother who cared deeply for his younger sisters, Isabella and Briana. A true sibling trio, Brady and his sisters would argue one second and turn on their parents the next. From elaborate family vacations to simple family dinners, there was always laughter, joking, and sarcastic remarks between the three. Brady loved his sisters deeply and that love will remain for eternity.
Brady is survived by his loving parents, Joshua and Sara Locke; his cherished sisters, Isabella Locke and Briana Locke; his grandparents, David and Diana Wrenn, and Jeffery and Carolynn Locke; his great-grandparent, Roger Locke; his aunts and uncles, Justin and Sonia Locke, Joel Locke, Kyle and Amy Hoffman, and Christopher and Emily Wrenn; and his cousins, Brackett Locke, Lauren Locke, Kyper Locke, Holden Hoffman, Royal Hoffman, Everly Wrenn, and Daxton Wrenn.
