Brenda L. Eganhouse, 57, of Dakota Dunes, SD, passed away peacefully Wednesday, October 19, 2022, at her residence surrounded by her loving family. Funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, October 22, 2022, at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Sioux City, IA. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. with a rosary at 4:00 p.m. and vigil service at 7:00 p.m., Friday, October 21, 2022 at the church. Interment will be at Vail Cemetery in Vail, Iowa. In lieu of flowers memorial funds may be made to the American Cancer Society under Brendas name. Online condolences may be sent to www.meyerbroschapels.com
Brenda was born on October 16, 1965, to Dean and Linda (Abbas) Launderville in Hampton, IA. Brenda attended school at Denison, IA graduating in 1984. She then went on to PCI Academy in Ames, IA to obtain a degree in cosmetology in 1985. She married the love of her life Mark Eganhouse on April 9, 1988, at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Denison, IA.
Brenda had many talents which ranged from managing hair salons, leading training at telecom companies and selling advertisements for Opera Columbus to starting two companies, B.E. Vintage and BEME, LLC Real Estate. She had a passion for upscaling everything she touched, including her husband, Mark! She was a giver, not a taker. She enjoyed donating her time to the Bargain Center, helping organize the Foodbank of Siouxland annual charity auction and was a circle leader at St. Michael’s Catholic Church. Brenda was a member of the Holy Cross Parish. She enjoyed golfing, cruising, and traveling to Phoenix to spend time with family.
Brenda will be remembered for her beautiful smile, big laugh, and warm hugs. She will be deeply missed by her husband, two children; Chelsea (Nicholas) Anderson of Columbus, OH and Jacob Eganhouse of Columbus, OH, two grandchildren; Cienna and Caden Anderson, mother, Linda Launderville of Phoenix, AZ, one sister, Tracy (Gary) Loesl of Phoenix, AZ, mother-in-law Janet Eganhouse and ten nieces and nephews and many dear friends.
She is preceded in death by her father, Dean Launderville, maternal grandparents, Henry and Lucile Abbas, and paternal grandparents, William and Bernice Launderville and her father-in-law, David Eganhouse.
