Brian Joseph Redshaw, 65, of Sergeant Bluff, Iowa passed away on Saturday, October 2, 2021 at Unity Point St. Luke’s Hospital in Sioux City. A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, October 8, 2021 at Family Worship Center in Sioux City. Brian’s service will be live streamed at the following link: https://youtu.be/oqTOiFpD3NU Pastor Nathan Hurst and Pastor Bill Yanney will co-officiate. Visitation will begin one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at Logan Park Cemetery. Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements.
Brian was born on October 19, 1955 in Sioux City, to Maurice and Glenna Redshaw. On March 29, 1980 he married Genene Gross at Whitfield United Methodist Church in Sioux City. Following their union, the couple moved to Waukee, Iowa until 1995. They made their home in various places including: Oconto, Wisconsin; Grand Lake, Colorado; Hoisington, Kansas; Syracuse, Indiana; and Hibbing, Minnesota, until settling in Sergeant Bluff in 2012.
Brian worked as a City Administrator from 1980-2015 in many cities, until his retirement. He was a member of the International City/County Management Association and the Christian Motorcycle Association. He was also a member of Family Worship Center in Sioux City.
Left to cherish his memory include his wife Genene Redshaw; son, James Redshaw; daughter, Laurie Hurst (Nathan) and their children Nash and Noble Hurst; son, Graham Redshaw (Justine) and their children Reagan and Wesley Redshaw; brother, Galen Redshaw (Carol); and sister, Leanne Fisher (Steve).
He was preceded in death by his parents: Maurice in 2008, and Glenna in 2010; and a son, Timothy Andrew in 1985.
