Family Tribute:
Our family is heartbroken. Christmas Eve, the patriarch of our family passed unexpectedly. He was a great, great man. A farmer. A man of integrity. A man that rose each day before the sun and knew the value of faith, family, and a hard day’s work. He spent his life on the farm. The farm that his great, great grandpa founded in 1872. What a legacy the Elliott men have left for the rest of us. We are proud to carry the Elliott name. The Elliott farm will be a Heritage Farm (150 years in the family) this coming summer. Bruce was so looking forward to celebrating that milestone and 65 years of marriage with his wife, Jane Elliott. We all were.
Christmas Eve morning he woke up and took his last drive around the farm section, went for a short walk to the fence line near his shop, went inside his home, sat next to his wife over a cup of coffee and passed away. It’s a beautiful story, really. It’s exactly how he would have wanted to pass. Because it’s the season of Christmas, because we believe in the birth, life, death and resurrection of a savior that offers us grace and eternal life that we rejoice in our heartbreak. Please lift our family in prayer as you celebrate Christ with your individual families. The Christmas story is what brings us peace.
