Bryan “Chiefy” Terrell, 63, of Sioux City passed away on Tuesday, June 16, 2020.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Monday, June 22, 2020 at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service on Monday.
Bryan Duane Terrell, the son of Harvey and Beverly A. (Rosenbaum) Terrell, was born May 27, 1957 in Sioux City, IA. Bryan grew up in North Sioux City, SD. In his younger years, he attended New Hope Center in Sioux City. As a teenager, he started volunteering “working” for the City of North Sioux City. He continued volunteering for them for almost 40 years. Bryan lived with his parents in North Sioux City until their passing and then he moved in with his niece Megan and Troy.
Bryan loved the outdoors including fishing, camping and boating. He loved to visit with friends and neighbors. He also enjoyed a Coca-Cola and his cigarette. Over the years, he won many Special Olympic awards.
Bryan in survived by one brother Cecil (Monica) Schmitz and eight nieces and their families: Megan (Troy Kunkel) Surber, Genesis (Bill) Smutzler, Angela Odegaard, Tanya (Shawn) Morsbach, Michelle (Nick Beaulieu) Rose, Nicolle Anderson, Letitia (Michael Robinson) Terrell and Christina (Jeff) Johnson.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother Allen Terrell.
