Calvin "Cal" C. Frahm, 88, of rural Martinsburg, NE passed away on Wednesday, September 7, 2016 at Regency Square Care Center in South Sioux City, NE.Funeral services will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Monday, September 12, 2016 at United Methodist Church in Ponca, NE. Burial will be in Silver Ridge Cemetery in rural Ponca. Visitation will begin at 5:00 P.M., with the family present at 6:00 P.M. and a prayer service at 7:00 P.M. on Sunday, September 11, 2016 at the Mohr Funeral Home in Ponca.Cal was born in Bloomfield, NE on July 18, 1928, the son of Hans and Clara (Nabor) Frahm. He grew up in Bloomfield and graduated from Bloomfield High School. He married Donna Armstrong on June 24, 1954 in Ponca, NE. They moved to Allen, NE in 1955 and to rural Ponca in 1960. Cal was a lineman for Nebraska Public Power for 10 years and farmed for 50 years.He was a member of the United Methodist Church in Ponca. He loved to travel with Donna and also enjoyed taking pictures, rock collecting, animals, including dogs, cats, and horses, and he always had a coffee pot on for visitors.Survivors include his wife, Donna Frahm of Martinsburg, NE; a sister, Marcella Stark of Yankton, SD; special nephew and niece, Alan and Linda Frahm of Ponca, NE; special friends, Gary and Sharon Sullivan of Martinsburg, NE and Mark and Peggy Gregg of Ponca, NE; and many more nieces and nephews.He was preceded in death by his parents, Hans and Clara Frahm; a brother and sister-in-law, Gilbert (Leota) Frahm; and brother-in-law, Gerald Stark.
