Carol S. Curry, 64, of Ponca, NE passed away on Friday, October 28, 2011 at a Sioux City hospital.Services will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Monday, October 31, 2011 at Salem Lutheran Church in Ponca with Pastor Randy Rasmussen officiating. Burial will be in the Ponca Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:00 - 8:00 P.M., with the family present at 6:00 P.M. on Sunday, October 30, 2011 at the Mohr Funeral Home in Ponca, NE. She graduated from Ponca High School in 1966. Carol married Russell Curry on September 3, 1964 in Ponca, NE. She worked as a medical records clerk at the Elms Health Care Center in Ponca for 31 years.Survivors include her husband, Russell Curry of Ponca, NE; 2 daughters, Brenda and Dale Wimmer of Mapleton, IA and Lanette and Tim Von Seggern of Pender, NE; 1 son, Jim and Kim Curry of Tea, SD; 7 grandchildren, Alex, Jon and Megan Wimmer, Rebecca and Vanessa Von Seggern, and Sam and Maggie Curry; 1 sister, Marlene and Hank Krause of Akron, IA; 1 brother, Bill and Daria Bossman of Pierre, SD; 1 brother-in-law, Bill Curry of Yuma, AZ; and her best friend, her dog, Daisy.Carol was preceded in death by her parents.
