Carol L. Sorenson

   Carol L. Sorenson, 66, of Sioux City, IA passed away on Saturday, January 23, 2021 at a Sioux City hospital.

   Cremation rites will be accorded and no services are planned at this time.   Meyer Brothers Morningside Chapel is assisting with arrangements.

   Carol, the daughter of Lyle and Patricia (Brown) Munson, was born June 29, 1954 in Sioux City.  She was raised and attended school in Sioux City.

   On September 16, 1972, Carol was united in marriage to Steven “Steve” Sorenson in Sioux City and this union was blessed with two children.  The family made their home in Sioux City and Carol was a stay-at-home mom while her children were young then she opened an in-home daycare.  She also had worked as a clerk at Michael’s store.

   Carol enjoyed crocheting, listening to music, watching Little House on The Prairie, and was an avid Atlanta Braves fan.  Above all, she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.

   She is survived by her husband Steve of Sioux City; son Mike Sorenson of Sioux City; daughter Kami (Chris) Olthoff of North Liberty, IA; two grandchildren: Andrew and Jacob Olthoff of North Liberty, IA; one brother Stephen Munson of Sioux City; three sisters: Marlene (Ron) Ransom of Sioux City, Lesa (Wayne) Trudeau, and Patti (Dan) Marsh of South Sioux City, NE; sister-in-law Janice Munson of Sioux City; nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends.

   She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers: Jerry and James Munson.
