Carole L. Norberg, passed away on Monday, November 4, 2024, at a local care center at the age of 88.

A graveside service to honor Carole’s life will be held on Saturday, November 16, 2024, at 12:00 PM at Memorial Park Cemetery. Carole was born on October 27, 1936, in Green Bay, Wisconsin, the daughter of Howard Gordon and Magdalen “Mickey” (Coppens) Dimmitt.

Carole attended schools in Sioux City, ultimately graduating from Central High School. She married Richard M. Norberg on April 16, 1957.

She found joy in crafting and decorating. Carole enjoyed weekends camping with her family and beloved husband until the couple’s early 80s. A proud accomplishment was learning to drive at a late age.

Her memory will be lovingly cherished by her daughter Victoria "Vicki" and her husband Jeffrey Knaack of Correctionville, IA and her son Doug Norberg of Sioux City. Carole’s life radiates through her grandchildren: Joshua Knaack, Michelle (Matt) McClanahan, and Jennifer Knaack, as well as her five great-grandchildren, Corben, Xander, Cooper, Adeline, and Brielle. Carole is also survived by her two brothers: Gary (DeeAnn) Dimmitt of Onalaska, WI, and William (Laurie) Dimmitt of Yankton, SD.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Richard on May 6, 2020, and a brother-in-law Ronald Norberg.

With her love of cats, memorials may be directed towards the Siouxland Humane Society in Carole’s memory.
