Carolyn Sue Smith

Carolyn Sue Smith, 50, of Sergeant Bluff passed away Thursday, November 28, 2019 at a local hospital. Funeral Services will be 10:00 A.M. Thursday December 5, 2019 at Meyer Brothers Morningside Chapel.

Visitation will be one hour prior to service time. Interment will be at Memorial Park Cemetery. Deacon Pat Roberts will officiate. Online condolences can be expressed at www.meyerbroschapels.com.

Carolyn was born December 26, 1968 in Winter Park, FL to Ronald and Barbara (Polaczyk) Smith. She attended Primrose Day School in Florida from September of 1972 to June of 1973. She then began attending Glenwood State Hospital School in September of 1974. Carolyn was a resident of the Bluff View Home from February of 1991 until her passing.

Carolyn enjoyed going on outings including going out to eat, sitting outside, walking outside, listening to music, sensory and lotion therapy, relaxing in her recliner with a weighted blanket, and relaxation DVDs.

Carolyn is survived by her siblings; Teresa Smith, Barbara Merryman, Rohnda Smith-Payne, Ruth Ann Clark, Jessica Larios, and Ronald Christopher Smith.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Louis and Florence Polaczyk, her father in 2013, and brothers Ronald Gardner Smith Jr. and Ronald Gardner Smith III.
