Cathleen (Sachau) Tellinghusen

Cathleen (Sachau) Tellinghusen, 60, of Ponca, Nebraska passed away Sunday, April 12, 2020.  In light of the recent COVID-19 pandemic, funeral services will be held at a later date.  Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery in Emerson, Nebraska.

Cathleen was born the daughter of William and Teresa (Flammang) Sachau on October 23, 1959 in Wakefield, Nebraska.  She graduated from Allen High School.  Cathleen married LeRoy Tellinghusen on March 20, 1991 in Rapid City, South Dakota.  They moved to Wayne in 1992 and Laurel in 1995.  LeRoy passed away September 6, 1996.  Cathleen later moved to Martinsburg where she lived until her health declined. 

Cathleen enjoyed horses, scrapbooking, watching old movies and shows, and WWII history. 

She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary in Jackson, Nebraska.

Cathleen is survived by her sons, Seath Tellinghusen of Norfolk, Nebraska and Nickolas Sachau of Omaha, Nebraska; siblings, Constance Miller of Springfield, South Dakota, William Sachau of Allen, Nebraska, and Deacon Kent and Christine “Tina” Sachau of Humphrey, Nebraska; grandson, Gunther Tellinghusen; and 5 nieces and 7 nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, LeRoy; and brother-in-law, Ronald Starwalt.
