Cecelia L. Taylor, 91, of Sioux City passed away at home on Monday, May 3, 2021. A Graveside Service will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 8, 2021 at St. Margaret Cemetery in Spirit Lake, Iowa, with Father Paul Kelly officiating. Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements.
Cecelia was born on December 3, 1929 in Kansas City, Missouri to Leo and Terese (Fessler) Malloy. She spent years in Sioux City and Okoboji throughout her lifetime. She married Paul E. Taylor on April 12, 1950.
She was a long time business owner alongside her husband. She was a member of Blessed Sacrament church in Sioux City, and was a member of the Elks Lodge in Sioux City.
Cecelia is survived by her sister, Kathleen Flynn of Fort Meyers, FL; her children: Lee Taylor of Virginia Beach, VA; Paul Taylor of Sioux City; Susan Hoien of Okoboji, IA; Taylor Genrich of Okoboji, IA; and Lynn Stewart of Las Vegas, NV; 7 grandchildren: Malina, Camille, Hillary, Hayden, Jimmy, C’Lee, and Charles; and 5 great-grandchildren: Adreanna, Owen, Leo, Neeva, and Etson.
She was preceded in death by her mother and father: Terese and Leo Malloy; brother, Bill Malloy; sister, Pat Erli; her husband, Paul Taylor; and a grandson, Taylor Lee Stewart.
