Chad N. Ballard

Chad N. Ballard, 47, of Sioux City passed away Monday, March 1, 2021 at his home. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Meyer Brothers Morningside Chapel. Online condolences can be expressed at www.meyerbroschapels.com.

Chad was born May 27, 1973 in Newton, IA, the son of Jerome and Marlene (Schlegel) Ballard. Chad earned his Bachelor’s Degree from Morningside College in 2006 and his Master’s Degree from Bellevue University in 2009. He mostly worked as a Supervisor/Manager in customer service and worked at Great West for 3 years as a Claims Processor.

Chad enjoyed hanging out with his family and adored his kids. He was happy to have the family together, whether it was at kid’s events, playing outside, or board games. He was a huge sports fan and loved to watch college football. He loved a good movie, crossword puzzle, and especially enjoyed reading. He also enjoyed long walks.

Those left to honor his memory are his parents Jerry and Marlene Ballard of Jefferson City, MO; significant other of 20 years, Jennifer Schneiders of Sioux City; children Aiden Ballard, Owen Ballard, Hudson Ballard, Chaylea Ballard, all of Sioux City, and Sophia Jerabek of Spearfish, SD; aunt Madonna Ballard of Vermillion, SD; and cousin Noelle Ballard of Vermillion, SD.
