Chad Alan Beck

Chad Alan Beck, 54 of Hinton, Iowa, passed away on Friday, December 22, 2023 peacefully at his home.  A Celebration of Life Service will be at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 26, 2023 at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel in Sioux City, with Pastor Beth Odor officiating.  Burial will be in the Floyd Valley Cemetery at a later date.  Visitation, with the family present, will be one hour prior to services on Tuesday at the funeral home.  Memorials are asked to be made to the Hinton Fire & EMS.

Chad was born on September 2, 1969 in Sioux City, Iowa to Danny and Kathleen “Kathy” (Kelso) Beck.  He received his education in the Hinton Community Schools, graduating with the Class of 1988.  He continued his education at Northwest Iowa Tech College, receiving his two-year degree in 1990. 

Chad was working at Stockton Towing, and had previously been with the City of Hinton in Maintenance, Petit Construction, and Concrete Specialists in previous years.  He was an active member of the Hinton Fire Department, and past Chief of Fire & Rescue, throughout the years from 1988 until 2021.  He enjoyed his membership at the Hinton United Methodist Church. 

Left to cherish his memories include is mother Kathy Beck of Hinton, Iowa; sister Erin (Stacy) Weiland and their children McKenna (Noah) Schroeder, Kyleigh Weiland, and Alyssia Weiland; many aunts, uncles, cousins, and dear friends.

Chad was preceded in death by his father Danny Beck, maternal grandparents Mert and Gerry Kelso, and paternal grandparents Paul and Dorothy Beck.
