Charlene "Charlie" Ashoff-Baumgardner

   Charlene “Charlie” Ashoff-Baumgardner, 60, of Sioux City passed away on Thursday, August 19, 2021 at her residence.

   Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday, August 26, 2021 at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel in Sioux City with Pastor Alfonso Solis officiating.  Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery.  The family will greet friends from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

   Charlene, the daughter of Ben and Doris (Knapp) Goodon, was born February 6, 1961 in Dexter, MO.  As a young girl, she grew up and attended school in several different communities.

   She was united in marriage to Rodney E. Strickland and one daughter, Molly, was born to this union.  Charlene and Rodney later divorced.

   For many years, Charlene worked in customer service and also as a waitress.

   In 1997, Charlene married Bud Ashoff in Las Vegas, NV.  He preceded her in death.

   In 2015, Charlene moved to Sioux City to be closer to her mom.  For the past seven years, Charlene has shared her life with Donald Baumgardner.

   Charlene enjoyed going to the beach, swimming, coloring, and horses.  Above all, she cherished spending time with her grandchildren.  She truly had a heart of gold.

   She is survived by her husband, Donald Baumgardner; daughter, Molly Wray; four grandchildren: Makayla, Trenton, Noah, and Oliver; four step children; eight step grandchildren; five siblings: Logan, David, George, Janace, and Cristin; and many other relatives and friends.

   She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Bud; and several siblings.
