Charles Leslie Evans, 84, of Sioux City passed away Sunday, June 21, 2020 at the Cherokee Regional Medical Center.
Per his wishes, Charles has been cremated and no services are planned at this time. Arrangements are under the direction of Meyer Brother Colonial Chapel.
Charles was born on February 20, 1936 in Stone County, Mississippi, the son of Hytze Eugene Evans and Corrine Hendricks. He grew up in Harrison County, Mississippi until moving to Sioux City in 1963. He married Patricia LeClair on September 25, 1965. To this union, two children were born. The couple later divorced in 1978. Charles moved to Springfield, MO for a time before moving back to Sioux City for good in 1990. Charles worked hauling scrap metal and enjoyed junking and fishing.
Survivors include his children: John (Carolyn) Evans of Sioux City and Deb (Larry) Peterson of Sioux City; grandchildren: Amanda Evans, Patricia (Erix) Reese, Kevin Evans, and Cody Cruse; and seven great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, five siblings, and a grandson Christopher.
