Charlotte was born on November 11, 1943 to Victor and Augusta (Egger) Overeen. She graduated from Spencer High School in Spencer, Iowa. On August 8, 1964, she married Thomas Trosper in Spencer, and to this union two sons were born. The two were married for 42 years until his passing in 2007.
The family spent years living in Spencer, IA; Schuyler, NE; Montgomery, AL; and Emporia, KS, before making their home in Riv-R-Land Estates.
Charlotte was a very artsy, creative person. She worked as a graphic artist for a few years, but took great pride in her role as homemaker for her family.
In her free time, Charlotte loved to build or create something new. She made mini crossbows for her grandson, and loved making crafts. She also enjoyed scuba diving; traveling to Bonaire with family; and feeding her hummingbirds. In her younger years, she enjoyed spending time at the roof garden in Okoboji.
She is survived by her two sons: Shawn Trosper and his wife Amy of Jefferson, SD; and Thad Trosper and his wife Kimberlee (Hamar) of Omaha, NE; grandchildren: Elizabeth, Katheryn, and Jax; sisters: Elouise Larson (Steve); Julie Tatman (Doren); and Tina Ingram; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Trosper; her parents; a brother-in-law, Wayne Ingram; and Katheryn’s life partner, Tony Lyle.
