Charlyne R. Snyder

Charlyne R. Snyder, 70, of South Sioux City, NE passed away on Thursday, March 2, 2016 at her residence.Memorial services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Monday, March 6, 2017 at Mohr Funeral Home in South Sioux City, NE. Visitation will begin at 9:00 A.M., with the family present at 10:00 A.M., prior to the service.Charlyne was born on October 22, 1946 in Sioux City, IA, the daughter of Herman and Rose (Kuchera) Pojar. She grew up in South Sioux City and graduated from South Sioux City High School. Charlyne married Rodney Snyder on January 15, 1966 in Dakota City, NE. She worked for the South Sioux City School District as Head Cook and Lunchroom Supervisor. She later attended Stewart's School of Cosmetology in Sioux City, IA and owned and operated Char's Country Cut for 26 years.She was a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church in South Sioux City and the South Sioux City American Legion Auxiliary. Charlyne loved gardening and enjoyed traveling, cake decorating, floral arranging, scrapbooking and sewing. She was dedicated to her family and friends.Survivors include her daughters, Trudi Snyder of Des Moines, IA and Lynnette (Preston) Jacobs of Newell, IA; 3 grandchildren, Anthony Jacobs, Harley Webb and Gabriel Jacobs; 1 great-grandson, Dillon Delk; sisters, Angie (Bill) Bradish of South Sioux City, NE, Marguerite (Cheryl) Roberts of Pender, NE, Vada Coan of South Sioux City, NE and Carolyn (Daniel) Angerman of Silt, CO; brothers, Duane (Dona Rae) Pojar of Sioux Falls, SD and Tom (Lisa) Pojar of South Sioux City, NE; sisters-in-law, Cindy Pojar of South Sioux City, NE and Liz Pojar of Omaha, NE; and brother-in-law, Bill Leuenhagen of Boise, ID.She was preceded in death by her husband and best friend, Rodney G. Snyder; infant son, Todd V. Snyder; infant daughter, Annette M. Snyder; parents, Herman and Rose Pojar; sisters, Adeline Evens and Lois Leuenhagen; and brothers, Leo, John, Bob, Wally, Virgil, Larry and Pat.
