Cheri Lee Trometer

Cheri Lee Trometer, 71 of Sioux City, passed away on Tuesday, January 11, 2022 at MercyOne Medical Center.  Abiding by her wishes, cremation has taken place, and a Memorial Service will be at 5:00 p.m. Thursday, January 13, 2022 at Meyer Brothers Morningside Chapel with Pastor Jan King officiating.  Visitation, with family present, will begin at 4:00 p.m. Thursday, at the funeral home.  Online condolences may be offered to the family at www.meyerbroschapels.com

Cheri was born on March 24, 1950 in Sioux City to Elvin and Dorothy (Thompson) Metz. She received her education in Sioux City before her marriage to Donald L. Trometer on June 10, 1972 in Sioux City.  She was a proud homemaker to her family of Donald, and children, Brian, Kristin, and Brent.  Her passion was her children and grandchildren, and found her greatest joy whenever she was spending time with them.  Cheri was a past member of the First Lutheran Church in Sioux City.

Cheri is survived by her husband Donald; children Brian (Robbi) Trometer, Kristin (fiancé Tim Gee) Trometer, and Brent (fiancé Morgan O’Hern) Trometer, all of Sioux City; grandchildren Aubrey Trometer, Triston Sheffy, and Faith Gee, all of Sioux City; brother Greg (Kim) Metz of North Carolina; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Cheri was preceded in death by her parents, and sister Joan Kaschmitter.
